Meta ends DEI programs

First it was dropping fact checking. Now it's being reported that Meta is ending corporate DEI programs.

Quote:

Those included cutting its DEI team and replacing equity and inclusion programs with programs "that focus on how to apply fair and consistent practices that mitigate bias for all, no matter your background."

I'm getting quite tired of the anti-DEI crusade happening right now in this country which is based on false definitions of what "DEI" actually means.

Corporations, especially global corporations, should be extending DEI programs, not cancelling them. The workplace is a better place with people of all backgrounds taking part. Companies are stronger, not weaker, with these programs.

It is yet another attack by the right-wing political groups in the US to further their racist and x-phobic goals and yet another sign of just how out of touch with reality these people are. Absolutely disgusting.
